And We Smile

To dream a life of success and abundance is everybody’s right. And all of us have the potential to reach that goal. Though the road to that dream may not be easy, we have to strive knowing for sure that at it is possible. Sadly, the wonderful human potential could turn out to be just a run of the mill and typical living.

Regrettably, a great number of people are stuck into this category. Never ever think that just because you could be in this category that there is no more hope for you. You could climb out of the quandary we could be in. You must believe in yourself that the dreamed success and that almost elusive abundant living are within your reach.

So what are the probable reasons why we could be trapped instead of soaring away? The primary reason why most of us are stuck is our spiteful tendency of doing self-sabotaging acts and decisions hindering the attainment of our full potential. Nobody would enjoy living a life in poverty or mediocrity. Yet, our actions speak the other way.

On abundance instead are common and popular excuses like lack of time, or lack of money or capital, or still too young or already too old to carry out something. Though we don’t usually admit it, we all know that at some point of time or another we are also using these familiar excuses.

Why do we invent these excuses? We now know that excuses are helping us get away from fear – the fear of the unknown, disappointments or changes. This fear of the unknown is born out of evading things unfamiliar to us.  Because we don’t have the capacity to predict the future accurately, we are afraid of changes.  It is nice and comfortable if we are sure of things to happen in the future.  At all cost, we want to avoid failure because it surely does feel bad and it makes us look so stupid and lame duck in the eyes of our fellows. Alas, these grand excuses have the power to thoroughly paralyze our personal and professional growth.

We could conclude that the first necessary step in achieving our dreams is to be always on guard of our flaws.  We could only rectify a mistake if we recognized that it is a mistake. To help us get empowered to finally thrust out these excuses out of the door, here are three steps:

  1. Make it a habit to consistently ask yourself if your excuse is actually true.
  2. Collect solid evidence to persuade yourself that your excuse is really false.
  3. Alter your viewpoint on the excuse and instantly decide by acting on things.

Do you want a beautiful life free from nasty excuses? What are the dreams you can possibly accomplish? The whole sky is yours to explore! What are the things that you really want to do but you are stopped by fear? Do you want to be slim by starting a new exercise routine? Or do you want a business of your own? What about establishing your own blog or going to school to finish a degree? Or maybe going after that girl of your dream? Or finally saying yes to a man devoted to you?

Scrutinize the bad excuses that you may have and determine if there is really truth in those excuses. At all time, you must be conscious that these excuses can make or break you.

Break free from excuses! Unstuck yourself fast and at last be more attune to your true potential and great worth as a person.
