Value Yourself
“You are no good for anything.” Have you ever been told this? “I am ugly.” Are you thinking that to yourself? “I am no good at sports. Not good in school either.” Is that how low you grade yourself? “How can anyone love me? I am not worth it!” Have you ever thought this?
You lack one of life’s necessary foundations which is self-esteem! Have you ever gazed in the mirror and desired you were not the person as you are? A lot of people will answer a big yes if given a chance to live as another person somewhere else. If you are one of these people, then you certainly belong to the majority. Most of us are not really happy the way we look. This is the main reason why the cosmetic industry is raking in billions of sales year after year.
I would dare to say that almost everyone who has ever walked on this earth at some point of their lives wished that they could change even one aspect about themselves: the body, the nose, the color, the height, the personality – something! In fact, even those people whom we adore and admire for their seemingly perfect and flawless beauty have something they are not satisfied with.
Beauty. Finances. Wealth. Popularity. Love. They all have one thing in common: not one is guaranteed that you will get even before you are born into this world.
Now, even if we have them, they are all temporary and will eventually come to pass. The problem is when our self-worth is anchored on these things. Happiness and fulfillment will always be short-lived. And at the end you are left with nothing.
True worth comes by linking our view through the Creator’s eyes. How much value does he place on your life? And if could find the greatest value from the very person who created us, there is nothing in this world that could ever substitute that value – ever!
Did you know that the Father Creator loves you just as much as he loves his own firstborn Son? And nobody – not even the most powerful man in this world – could ever deny that true value from you!
You can’t get any more valuable than that!
