Today is a very special day for people who believe in its supposed significance. It is the 10th day of the 10th month October of the year 2010. Or the perfect 10-10-10 as most would like to call it. Also on this month, we could encounter the rare five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays which could happen only once in 823 years. So how’s that for the superstition inclined?
There are a lot of couples planning to get tie the knot who are choosing specific date because they consider it to be a lucky day. And today October 10, 2010 or “10-10- 10″ is said to be one of the lucky dates available for us. That is, the rights date to make major decisions in life, business and career.
I am sure, business are launched, marriage vows are exchanged, children baptized, career course are decided and so on and so forth. However, is there really a proven data backing such kind of a belief? Or is it not a matter of faith? It could be just similar to saying that whatever you think so you are. Well, maybe it has something to do with the power of visualization then and not really on that particular date.
There is an outspoken religious figure here in my country who expressed doubts of this kind of belief. He is not convinced for even an iota of it and just dismisses it as just simply superstition. “That is definitely a big superstition. That 10-10-10 is a fallacy… or that there is really lucky date,” he said.
This clergy advised that those planning to get married should never based the success of their marriage and family in superstitious beliefs, saying that in reality whatever happened to their marriage lies exclusively on them. “What is vital is the love that bonds the couple and so there is no point in relying on factors outside of their control,” he added.
Well, points well said. To hinge your success or that of your relationship on something based on things we don’t know exactly is just like taking chances with the lottery.
10-10-10? Well, those are good numbers actually but the bottom line is that life is what we make it and we can make it much, much better if we are trying everyday! The power to make things and affect changes lies in your hands. Decide to do and don’t quit until you have it. That is surely much better.

Though I am not fanatical with numbers, still it is really amazing to learn of these numbers falling into the right place. There are always patterns emerging out of numbers.
For sure, we could only hope these numbers are bringing the luck we need.
